If you are moving to Atlanta and love technology, you will be happy to hear that the tech industry will be seeing an increase in the number of jobs in Atlanta over the next couple of years. Why? Because the board of Atlanta’s development arm approved a $15 million incentives package this month for the next phase of the construction of Georgia Tech’s Technology Square.
Georgia Tech’s Technology Square will create 1 million square feet of office, retail, and data center space – a move that is costly, but that Atlanta is looking forward to. Atlanta movers are curious to see the extent of which people will move to Atlanta in search of a tech job, since the goal of the project is to pull in private investment and commercialize new technologies. Atlanta movers know that if next-generation computing spaces are created it will fuel more and more tech-savvy businesses to join the area.
With 25 stories of office space and technology centers within the Technology Square, the project is estimated to create 2,100 construction jobs, hold 2,400 workers on site, and have an economic impact of $813.8 million. Georgia Tech’s Technology Square will open in 2018. If you are moving to Atlanta and have a small (or large) technology company, local moving companies can assist in your office relocation.
