Foodie Venues in College Park, GA

When people think of the best sub-cities for food near downtown Atlanta, they typically think of Roswell, Alpharetta, and Woodstock. However, Atlanta movers urge new residents to check out the foodie venues of College Park. Located just 13 minutes from downtown Atlanta (according to Google Maps), why would you not venture away from the city for a wider variety of cuisines? Local moving companies, such as All My Sons Moving & Storage, could not have made moving any easier; if you are moving to Atlanta, check out these five restaurant hot spots in College Park and you’ll fit in like a local in no time!

1. The Pecan – If you missed The Pecan on your flight into the International Terminal at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport, you can still find it down the road at the Southside staple. For the southern welcome you deserve when moving to Atlanta, try some of The Pecan’s signature dishes, such as shrimp and grits made with pepper jack cheese, crab cakes and fried catfish. And, of course you have to try the pecan pie!

2. Brake Pad Restaurant and Bar – Sister to Universal Joint, Oakhurst Market, Moe’s & Joe’s, 97 Estoria and Steinbecks Bar, Brake Pad is the perfect place to grab a couple of friends and relax while sipping on some beer. This rehabilitated gas station serves up American cuisine on a casual patio atmosphere.

3. The Manchester Arms – Offering a menu that has something to offer everyone, The Manchester Arms features some not-so-authentic British pub food, such as fish and chips, Shepard’s pie, and bangers and mash. You can also order a traditional pub beer like Boddingtons, the beloved cousin to your bangers and mash.

4.The Corner Grille – Moving to Atlanta from Louisiana and missin’ that Cajun cuisine? Get your fix with The Corner Grille’s blackened salmon, Cajun pasta, catfish po’boy, and chicken and waffles.

5.Bole Ethiopian Restaurant – Venture far from the foodie norm and try the best, and perhaps the only authentic Ethiopian cuisine around Atlanta. However, newcomers beware – when the menu says “spicy,” they are not kidding!
