If you are moving to Atlanta, local moving companies have one question: Do you know who Robert Mondavi is?
You may recognize the name as being an extremely popular brand of wine; however, Atlanta residents in need will soon recognize the name as the one who supplied them with a cherished Thanksgiving turkey for their family.
This November, the Atlanta Community Food Bank is said to receive 250 Thanksgiving turkeys from Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi, as part of the brand’s “Thanks Giving Back” campaign. Atlanta movers have been letting new residents who may be in need of a family turkey, or know a family in need, know that after the turkeys arrive to the Atlanta Community Food Bank on November 5th, they will be distributed across 29 metro Atlanta and north Georgia counties for families and individuals who may not have a hot Thanksgiving meal or home.
If you are moving to Atlanta and are looking for a way to get involved in your new community, you can check out the local community kitchens, food pantries, night shelters, and senior centers to lend a helping hand divvying out these 250 turkeys. If the shelter allows, you may be able to donate additional turkeys or Thanksgiving sides as well.
